![]() SYBÍL SEES STARS a tantalizing new feature at no home-like place. Sybíl, our paparazz-see on the ground, reports on celebrity sightings from New York City. you're welcome, the editor today: No No Nolita and the Tea & Sympathy Vortex Daahhling, I'm being flooded with flashbacks of past celebrity sightings. Could this be a new one for the DSM (that's Diagostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders)? Celebrity Sighting Disorder also known as CSD...anything for a new medication. Retroactive sightings - Nicole Kidman (how about them apples), walking up Mulberry Street. Tall, thin, ultra-white, cool blonde goddess in tight white jeans and turtle neck sweater with another woman - shorter, darker (Nicole's shadow perhaps?) She went into Debra Rodman, the little dress boutique on Prince. Yep, these streets that used to be the stomping grounds of John Gotti and friends - lots of Johnny Boys and Johnny Fats and Fat Carmine and Butch the Hat (still here, btw.) - are now full of fancy little dress boutiques and boites and did I mention SHOES??? You can't get your damn shoes re-soled around here any more but boy can you ever spend a fortune on SHOES!!! In fact, right across the street in the storefront that used to house the Ravenite Social Club there is now a store called "SHOE". Their sale sign (if they ever have a sale) should read "one for the price of ten!" Friday, Feb. 3, 2006 - Liev Schrieber and Naomi Watts were seen lunching together at Tea and Sympathy. Liev had the Bangers and Mash. No canoodling. Some tea drinking. also at Tea & Sympathy - Rupert Everett. One Saturday morning, English Breakfasting. Very tall, chiseled, handsome. Heard his voice before I saw him. He caught me looking at him as he exited the door and stared back at me with a dare-you-to- stare-any-longer coolness. I noticed that his companion was also (like Nicole's) much shorter. I wonder if they do that on purpose, hang around with shorter people, so that they look larger than life in person, too? Sybíl |
